Second Edition • What started as a research project for Amy Seo and Shahar Cohen, founders of Second Edition, has turned into an ongoing investigation into how buildings and objects can be more resource efficient.

Bolaji Teniola • Adelaide-based furniture designer Bolaji Teniola is guided by a dedication to trialling and testing, and “always giving things a go.”

Yeend Studio • Thomas Yeend, founder of Yeend Studio, creates hand-crafted object, lighting and furniture designs from his Adelaide studio.

Marlo Lyda • For Marlo Lyda, a youth spent between inner-city Sydney and the Central Tablelands lead to work inspired by nature, but created using industrial methods and materials.

The Disco • In Brisbane, emerging studio J.AR Office has created a hair salon where stainless steel joinery, cool lighting and polished concrete evoke the spatial qualities of a slick nightclub experience.

Africola Canteen • In her first interiors project since starting her solo practice, emerging designer Claire Markwick-Smith has created a new eatery and retail interior exuding familiarity and domestic warmth for well-loved Adelaide institution Africola.

Office Mi-Ji • Millie Anderson and Jimmy Carter of Melbourne-based Office Mi-Ji seek to create architecture that is refreshingly playful but refined and highly considered.

Knight Wilson • The founders of Gold Coast- and Melbourne-based Knight Wilson believe that architecture need not be original or on trend, but instead dictated by the everyday lives of its occupants.

Sandra Githinji • This Kenyan-born, Melbourne-based multidisciplinary designer interrogates the interdependence between design and people to facilitate more equitable environments.

Miles Thorp Architects • Lewis Miles and Chris Thorp, the Sydney-based founders of Miles Thorp Architects, are driven by their clients' strong visions and personal narratives, combined with the relationships they form with engineers and consultants.

Trower Falvo Architects • With its depth of intention and resolution, the work of Simona Falvo and Dayne Trower requires careful, quiet and considered observation.

Youssofzay and Hart • Based in Sydney, this practice is committed to built excellence, working with some of Australia’s most renowned arts institutions to deliver exhibitions, gallery interiors and site-specific architectural interventions.
