The Upper • In Tokyo, Sydney studio Luchetti Krelle has created two distinguishable yet highly compatible dining retreats, channelling mid-century Italian modernism and Art Deco decadence.

Fugazzi • Fugazzi is the latest entrant in Adelaide’s cohort of blockbuster restaurant fitouts. Designed by Studio Gram, it sits confidently at an intersection – boldly occupying an intriguing space between architectural norms.

Hope Street Radio • After three years operating as an online community radio station, Hope Street Radio, designed by Peter Frederick Cole Architect, is now a space to celebrate music, seasonal food and natural wine in Melbourne's Collingwood.

In Brief • A collection of the latest interiors recently completed by Australian designers, from a brewery in Melbourne to a luxury clothing store in Bondi.

Rekkan / Tamuwu / Nyinakat: sit/sit down • South Australia’s Jam Factory has curated an exhibition of collaborations between Indigenous textile artists and South Australian furniture designers.

Monash Robotics Lab • A robust intervention by Studio Bright delivers radical change, a significant civic contribution and a comfortable place to meet a robot.

Calum Hurley • This Adelaide-based emerging designer creates furniture and objects influenced by pure geometry, bold colour and the visual spirit of the Bauhaus and Memphis periods.

Alfred Stables • Architects EAT has reinvented a 150-year-old three-storey factory at Melbourne’s Alfred Hospital into a dynamic and adaptive workplace for 150 administrative staff, all while celebrating the existing building fabric.

Johnson Partners • In this Sydney office for a boutique consulting firm, YSG has replaced the sobriety of conventional corporate highrise offices with sculptural details and bold, expressive gestures.

Artichoke Magazine Prize • The Artichoke Magazine Prize is awarded annually to interior design/interior architecture students who demonstrate excellence in the visual and written communication of an interior design proposition. Here we present the 2021 winners.

Edge Training • In this elite training facility in Melbourne's inner south-east, Pandolfini Architects employs floor-to-ceiling galvanized pods to provide function and privacy alongside visual strength and toughness.

Sampling the Future • This exhibition, which took place at the Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia, explored some of the extraordinary new technologies and manufacturing techniques that are shaping our future.
